Is my equipment covered by my insurance

It depends. Insurance coverage is based on many factors. We will discuss details prior to delivery. Feel free to check with our office with any questions (918) 663-9494.

What is the benefit to continuous passive motion?

Simply put, passive motion moves the joint for you through its range of motion. Moving your joint after surgery can be very beneficial to aid in an expedited recovery. CPM benefits are proved dating back to the 1970s. Excess fluid can build in the joint after surgery which puts excess pressure on the joint and can also limit range of motion. CPM machines help remove this fluid and stimulates blood flow to the area, helping promote healing. If a CPM is not requested by your surgeon, don’t be afraid to ask for one.

Can I rent or purchase equipment for personal use?

Absolutely, Medical Motion has a wide variety of equipment available for rent and purchase. More than likely, if you have a need we have a solution. Note that some equipment does require a doctor’s prescription. Please contact our office with any questions at (918) 663-9494.

Can the machine travel with me?

Yes, however if damage occurs you will be responsible.

Is the equipment easy to use?

Absoutely! We work hard to ensure the process is user friendly and simple. We include a thorough set of instructions with each machine. Please be sure to follow the instructions for proper use and to speed up recovery. If you do have any difficulty don’t hesitate to call our office with any questions (918) 663-9494.

Why are you bringing this to the hospital?

Most insurance companies have policies for coverage including the CPM being applied to a patient within a certain timeframe after the procedure.

What happens if my machine stops working?

Worst case scenario right? We attempt to avoid this situations by thoroughly testing and inspecting each machine before it leaves our headquarters. Please contact us immediately if your machine isn’t functioning properly (918) 663-9494. If there isn’t power to the machine, check that both wall and machine plug-in location is firm and secure.

When can I stop using my equipment?

The length of use is determined by your physician.
